Good to Know
Our Policies
Clear expectations up front, so there are no surprises at drop-off or pickup.
Cancellation Policy
- We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule, so the time slot can be offered to another pet.
- Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may require a deposit for future bookings.
- A deposit or card on file may be required to confirm certain appointments — this will be made clear at the time of booking.
Late Arrival Policy
- Please call or text as soon as you know you'll be running late.
- Because every appointment is one-on-one with no overlap between clients, a late arrival may shorten your pet's session or require rescheduling to protect the next appointment.
- Arriving significantly late without notice may be treated as a no-show.
Vaccination Requirements
- For the safety and health of every pet in our care, pets must be current on core vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella are standard).
- Proof of vaccination may be requested — your vet's office can typically email or fax this ahead of your visit.
- If your pet has a medical exemption, please contact us before booking to discuss.
Safety Policy
- Every pet is groomed one-on-one in a private suite — your pet is never left unattended near tools or equipment.
- If a health issue (injury, lump, skin irritation, or sign of illness) is discovered during grooming, we'll pause and let you know right away.
- We reserve the right to stop a groom at any point if it becomes unsafe for your pet or the groomer, and will discuss next steps with you directly.
Matting Policy
- Light matting can usually be brushed or worked out during a normal groom.
- Severe matting can pull painfully on skin during de-matting, so heavily matted coats are sometimes shaved short for your pet's comfort and safety — this is always discussed with you first.
- Matting close to the skin can also hide skin irritation that isn't visible until the coat is removed; we'll let you know if we find anything of concern.
Behavioral & Bite Policy
- Our private, one-on-one suites are genuinely well-suited to nervous, anxious, or reactive dogs, since there's no crowded salon to add stress.
- A muzzle may be used briefly if needed to keep your pet and the groomer safe — this is a standard, temporary safety measure, not a punishment.
- Please disclose any bite history when booking so we can plan the appointment appropriately. In rare cases, a groom may need to be stopped for everyone's safety.
Pickup Policy
- We'll text or call when your pet is ready, along with a quick note on how the appointment went.
- Please plan to pick up your pet within the window discussed at drop-off — our private-suite model means your pet's suite is needed for the next appointment.
- If you're running behind on pickup, a quick call or text helps us plan accordingly.
